There are more fireworks in All or Nothing and episode five kicks off with a bang.

The January transfer window is open and after a brief honeymoon period, cracks begin to appear in Mourinho’s early reign.

Danny Rose, who remains Spurs’ longest serving player, arrives at the training ground the morning after the Watford match looking to speak to his manager.

And he demanded to know why he wasn’t playing regularly.

“I want to know what the problem is,” Rose asks, to which Mourinho replies: “What do you mean?”

“You know exactly what I mean.” Rose hits back, explaining he feels an explanation is owed for what he sees as unfair treatment.

“I was excited when you came as manager, but if you don’t want me to play then I’d rather you just tell me and I’ll stay at home, gaffer, and I’ll train at home.”

When Mourinho explains a poor display against Liverpool didn’t help his cause, tempers begin to rise.

“I respect what you say, I didn’t play well, but other people have been s*** in training and s*** in games, but are in the squad every game. It’s not fair.”

Listening, Mourinho suggests it’s a matter of opinion, which is rejected by the 30-year-old.

“It’s facts! The whole changing room knows it and it’s not fair,” before walking out of his office and telling his boss he will speak to chairman Daniel Levy directly.

Rose has never been one to lack confidence or tell it how he sees it and later spoke of his frustration at not playing every week.

“I believe in myself in that I am Tottenham’s best left-back and I can’t watch centre-backs and right-footed centre-backs play in my position” he explained as the camera cut to Jan Vertonghen and Japhet Tanganga.

“It’s a slap in the face basically.”

Rose eventually sealed a move to Newcastle at the end of the month, signing on loan for the rest of the season
